Civilian Casualties in Iraq, 2003-2005

Iraq Body Count and Oxford Research Group have just published A Dossier of Civilian Casualties in Iraq, 2003-2005.

It's a far more substantial set of information that I can usefully summarise, but a few of the lowlights are
24,865 civilians reported killed in the first two years, 20% of them women and children; US-led forces killed 37%, post invasion criminal violence 36% and insurgents or anti occupation forces 9%; twice as many died in the second year as in the first, with overall death rate consistently rising over the two years.
