Katrina: a first hand despatch

This came through to me yesterday, forwarded to me by a relative, from an acquaintance in the New Orleans. I've wondered about whether to post it publicly or not; the relative says yes, so here it is, with some misgivings, with the sender's name removed. If the sender feels differently, when the opportunity arises, I'll take it down.

It arrived as a set of three SMS messages from a cellphone, so must have been sent from outside the immediate flood area where networks are out. I've left them as is, no attempt to tidy up.
