Meanwhile, in Forest Gate...

Muslim protestors in Forest Gate, against the embarassingly large and misdirected police operation a couple of weeks ago, today carried placards reading "how can we trust you when you think we are all terrorists?"

It's a good question.

Terrorists seek, above all, to destroy the internal stability of the society they attack. Bringing down heavy handed state treatment on minorities is one way to do that. The hamfisted execution of the Forest Gate raid caused personal and community damage; but the terrorist victory against British society was won earlier than that, at the moment the operation was conceived.
